Biography

I'm head of research projects in the Library of National Congress of Chile (BCN), member of WESO Research Group of the University of Oviedo, and PhD in Computer Science in the same university, focusing my research in political and legislative analysis using "Semantic Technologies", which I define as the union of three fields of computer sience: Semantic Web, Text Mining and Social Network Analysis.

I born in Puente Alto, Santiago de Chile, the most populated commune in the country. In 2006 I've got a computer science degree and engineering in the Universidad of La Frontera and then, since 2009 to 2011 I've done the Master in Web Engineering of the University of Oviedo, due I've granted a scholarship by the Fundación Carolina.

My Master and PhD thesis was adviced by Jose Emilio Labra Gayo developing among others, the first Chilean Linked Open Data portal datos.bcn.cl. Since then, I work at BCN in Semantic Web and innovation projects.

Currently I live at Viña del Mar, one of the more beautiful cities in Chile, with my wife and my daughters.
